MANASSAS, Va. — Manassas National Battlefield Park and the surrounding community were the site of The Battle of First Manassas (First Bull Run) in which Union forces sought to secure the vital railroad junction at Manassas and The Battle of Second Manassas (Second Bull Run) where the Union Army wanted to resecure the supply depot at Manassas Junction.
