PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — On Saturday, October 8, 2016, the United States Navy welcomed USS JOHN P. MURTHA (LPD 26) to the fleet at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia. Speakers during the event included Vice Chief Of Naval Operations, Admiral William Moran, and Representative Nancy Pelosi. The ship was named for John P. Murtha who served 37 years in Congress.
