LANDOVER, Md. — The Washington Commanders earned their first home victory of the 2026 season, defeating the Seattle Seahawks 33–31 at Northwest Stadium. The win marked the Commanders’ first victory of the season and snapped the Seahawks’ 12-game winning streak.
WASHINGTON — It’s nice when you don’t have to travel far to discover a world of history, culture, and stories. Today, we started at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library for the District Vibes: American Pride exhibition, which offered a powerful look at how the people of D.C. have helped shape American culture—from neighborhoods and creativity to music, sports, food, and social change.
Then, we stopped at a true D.C. institution, Ben’s Chili Bowl for lunch. The final stops of the day were a visit to the African American Civil War Memorial and a sneak preview of the recently renovated African American Civil War Museum. The museum’s From Slavery to the White House: Tracing Michelle Obama’s Ancestry exhibition and The Glorious March to Victory: Civil War to Civil Rights were both informative and inspiring.

HARRISONBURG, Va. — We started the morning right tailgating with JMU CRU — good food, games on the lawn, and great fellowship. Then we made our way into Bridgeforth to watch the team put together a great performance from start to finish as the Dukes came out on top 87-3.

Jesus changes your vision so you can see your way out.
He washes his face, and then he can see (v. 7).
The neighbors were looking for the old man (v. 8).
He spoke up to identify himself: “I am the man.”
Learn to introduce yourself.
He didn't look like what he had been through.
Don't let people measure your growth.
Unfamiliar people can't measure new growth using old memories.
Stand in who He has revealed you to be in the face of their vision.
Fear can cause us to feel as if we will lose our community, but it causes us to transfer the cost to someone else.
They tried to audit the miracle. It wasn't about him or how he felt. It wasn't to celebrate him or his healing. His blessing interrupted their story. (v. 10, v. 26)
He releases what he could not defend. (v. 25)
He was not willing to negotiate his truth.
What have you gone quiet about recently? What causes you to lose your voice?
They put him out (v. 34). He wasn't put out because he could see; he was put out because he refused to unsee.
Jesus went and found him, even when everyone else had rejected him (v. 35).
Jesus found him in verse 1 and again in verse 35.
When they put him out, Jesus was outside.
There was life outside, and there was a blessing outside.
HARRISONBURG, Va. — Despite the torrential rain during the tailgate, we still had an awesome time cheering on the Dukes as they beat the Liberty Flames, 20-13. Great friends, good football, and family fellowship—what more could you ask for?
