WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Had great afternoon with family and making new friends and community connections at the 2026 Juneteenth & Me Festival. It was a vibrant celebration designed to bring together employees, residents, families, businesses, and community partners for a day of connection, reflection, and community at Pfitzner Stadium.

Hosted by the Prince William County HUES Employee Resource Group, coordinated by the Office of Equity & Inclusion, and supported by Parks & Recreation, this year’s theme, "Black Renaissance: Leading the Path Forward," highlighted a continued commitment to progress, creativity, and community engagement. Attendees enjoyed live performances, local vendors, art, youth activities, and opportunities to connect with organizations across the county.

CHANTILLY, Va. — The Sully Historic Site in Chantilly, Va., offers visitors a glimpse into life in the early 19th century with its mansion and the surrounding estate. The original home was built in 1794 by Richard Bland Lee, northern Virginia’s first congressman. The Federal-style architecture and period furnishings reflect the lifestyle of Virginia's elite during that era.

Today, the property is managed by the Fairfax County Park Authority and provides guided tours, educational programs, and seasonal events, including today’s Juneteenth celebration.

WASHINGTON — The National Symphony Orchestra presented "A Gospel Symphony Celebration: Tribute to Richard Smallwood at 75," featuring performances by Smallwood’s ensemble Vision; gospel stars Dorinda Clark Cole, Maurette Brown Clark, and Pastor Marvin L. Winans; the Howard Gospel Choir of Howard University; the Bowie State University Choir; and more.

In honor of Juneteenth and the 75th birthday of gospel legend Richard Smallwood, this soulful celebration was conducted by Grammy-winning producer Dr. Henry Panion III.
