WASHINGTON — The National Symphony Orchestra presented "A Gospel Symphony Celebration: Tribute to Richard Smallwood at 75," featuring performances by Smallwood’s ensemble Vision; gospel stars Dorinda Clark Cole, Maurette Brown Clark, and Pastor Marvin L. Winans; the Howard Gospel Choir of Howard University; the Bowie State University Choir; and more.
In honor of Juneteenth and the 75th birthday of gospel legend Richard Smallwood, this soulful celebration was conducted by Grammy-winning producer Dr. Henry Panion III.
