After "Good Times," Stanis continued to act in various television shows and films, became a motivational speaker and an advocate for Alzheimer's awareness, and wrote books that include "Situations 101: Relationships, The Good, The Bad & The Ugly" and "The Last Night: A Caregiver’s Journey Through Transition and Beyond," inspired by her experiences caring for her mother.
