ANNANDALE, Va. — Organized by the Hillbrook-Tall Oaks Civic Association (HTOCA), the Earth Day Clean-up is a neighborhood volunteer event designed to help keep the community clean. Volunteers received supplies provided by the HTOCA and worked in an assigned neighborhood section.

MANASSAS, Va. — It was a little breezy today, but still a good day to be outside for a walk. Today's walk included stops at the Henry HIll, Brawner Farm, and Battery Heights parts of the Manassas National Battlefield Park.

The park and the surrounding community were the site of The Battle of First Manassas (First Bull Run) in which Union forces sought to secure the vital railroad junction at Manassas and The Battle of Second Manassas (Second Bull Run) where the Union Army wanted to resecure the supply depot at Manassas Junction.
