With persistant fiath you will never leave empty handed; you will leave with something.

If you arfe going to leave with something:

1. Make some noise (v 22) - Speak up; ask for help. We can not heal what we dod not reveal.
2. You can't let teh silence stop you or let the hate halt you (v 23) - What do we do when it seems like God isn't responding? What do we do when what we asks for does not line up with God's timing? While you are waiting there may be obstacles trying to stop you. Those who walked with Jesus sought to turn her away.
3. You have to righly respond to the reality of rejection (v 24) - Jesus initially told her "No." - She showed wisdom.

Hoe is supposed to be a place of peace and tranquility. It is where we are supposed to find rest and comfort .

Trouble will show up in our homes and doesn't always look the same, but it makes us feel the same. It may not easily identıfied, but it is real.

Jairah's life looked well, but he had trouble at home.

Somethings are bigger than us and only God can handle them. We must invite our faith to go home with us.

Faith must be personal, internalized and exercised.

Jairah makes his way to Jesus. He knew about Jesus and believed in what he could do.

1. He recognized the pain in the house (v 42) - his power and influence could do nothing for his daugher. He was a religious man, but still experienced pain. "Don't ignore your pain," name your pain.
2. He offered a plea from the house (v 41b) - he assumed a posture of humility, putting away pride and position. His position was inefficient. The only thing that could help him was diving intervention.
3. He rejoiced after prayers were answered in the house (v 55-56) - God is still in the prayer answering business. Jesus drives the mourners (doubters) out. He rewarded Jairah's faith.

Nehemiah was a governor called by God. When we look at Nehemiah we see:

1. He presents his purpose;

a. He was the King's cupbearer.

b. He left his position to do God's work; he did the work because it was God's will.

2. He prerseverse through protest;

a. God had positioned the Jews for a comeback.

b. The temple is rebuilt, but the wall was needed to protect the city.

c. God gave Nehemiah the wisdom to not fall for the invitation from those who wanted to stop his work.

3. He perceived God's providence.

a. Don't limit yourself to things that you can do in your own power.

Expectation is a posture in this season. It affects your position.

Expectation must be sacred.

We must stay in position and guard our expectations.

1. The expecations were grounded in God's promises (Acts 1: 4) not a timeline (Isaiah 40:31). Waiting can stretch you, but not break you.
2. Expectations see beyond the present moment.
3. Expectation will outlast the enemy's strategies.
4. Expectation that is positioned recieves God's promise.
