LURAY, Va. — The Shenandoah National Park extends along the Blue Ridge Mountains and contains the Skyline Drive and a vast network of trails, including a section of the Appalachian Trail. Bursting with cascading waterfalls, spectacular vistas, fields of wildflowers, and quiet wooded hollows, the more than 200,000 acres of mostly forested protected lands are a haven for deer, songbirds, and black bears.
